Who Big Time Gaming is today
Big Time Gaming, usually shortened to BTG, is an Australian online slot studio founded by Nik Robinson in 2011. Evolution acquired the company in 2021, but BTG continues as a distinct product brand within Evolution’s slots portfolio. Its official history records both the founding and acquisition.
Mechanics and specialization
BTG is most closely associated with Megaways, a variable-reel mechanic capable of producing large numbers of winning combinations. The studio also develops and licenses other systems, including Megaclusters, Megapays, and Megapots. A Megaways label does not automatically mean BTG developed the game: other studios can license the mechanic.
Important games
Bonanza, released in 2016, established the best-known expression of Megaways. Extra Chilli, White Rabbit, and later licensed-property games expanded the studio’s catalogue. The official games list remains the clearest source for BTG-developed titles, while Evolution’s portfolio identifies the present parent relationship. Casino Context keeps BTG separate from Evolution so individual slot credits remain precise.
