HelloMillions limits and cooling periods
| Tool | What it does | Important condition |
|---|---|---|
| Gold Coin spend limit | Caps package purchases daily, weekly, or monthly | Lowering is immediate; increase or removal waits 24 hours |
| Session limit | Logs the player out after a daily time allowance | Resets at local midnight; increase or removal waits 24 hours |
| Time-out | Blocks purchases and gameplay for 1-30 days | Login, account viewing, and redemption remain available; cannot cancel early |
| Self-exclusion | Blocks login and all account activity for 1 month to 1 year | Cannot be reversed during the period and applies per account |
| Ordinary closure | Support closes the account | Reversible closure is weaker than a fixed exclusion |
HelloMillions places the controls in the Customer Account menu under Player Trust & Safety Controls. The Player Safety page explains that reductions take effect immediately and increases or removal require a 24-hour cooling period.
Time-out, balances, and redemptions
Time-out blocks game play and Gold Coin purchases but still permits login, account viewing, and redemption requests. The selected 1-30 day period cannot be cancelled early.
Gold Coins cannot be refunded or transferred during self-exclusion. HelloMillions also says Virtual Coin balances expire after 60 days of inactivity, so a longer exclusion can affect balances. Obtain account-specific written guidance if a material balance exists before selecting a period.
Self-exclusion and reactivation
HelloMillions self-exclusion lifecycle
- Select a periodChoose 1 month through 1 year in Player Trust & Safety Controls.
- Exclusion beginsLogin and all account activity are blocked and the period cannot be shortened.
- Period endsThe account remains closed until reactivation is requested.
- Reactivation requestA 24-hour cooling-off period applies before access can return.
Choosing the right control
Use a spend or session limit for a measurable ceiling, a time-out for a fixed short break, and self-exclusion for a longer non-reversible block. Ordinary account closure is not a substitute for self-exclusion when firm protection is needed.
If play is causing immediate financial, personal, or safety harm, stop purchasing and playing, activate the strongest available restriction, and seek qualified local support.
