Why verification happens
VGW can verify eligibility, identity, address, source of funds and ownership of a payment medium. These checks support age, location, fraud and prize-redemption controls.
The current Terms allow VGW to suspend an account when the registered name differs from the payment-medium name. Current Sweeps Rules also require the details on a prize request to match the Customer Account.
Common verification preparation
The official verification help article should be the starting point for a live request. Prepare clear, current documents and make sure account details are accurate before uploading anything.
Verification checks before submission
- Use the secure account or official help-center upload route
- Confirm the legal name matches the government-issued ID
- Confirm the address and date of birth are current
- Use a payment medium owned by the account holder
- Keep the full document visible and readable
- Record the case number without sharing sensitive images elsewhere
Closure does not cancel verification requirements
A pending closure does not make an unverified prize automatically redeemable. Complete a legitimate request promptly, but do not send identity files to social-media accounts or email addresses that are not part of an official support case.
