Verification can go beyond a photo ID

Prize rules allow Card Crush to request a government ID, facial-biometric verification, proof of address and Social Security information. Payment ownership and source-of-funds or source-of-wealth evidence can also become relevant.

These checks can occur before redemption and can extend the timetable when documents are incomplete or inconsistent. The account name, address and payment details should match the evidence supplied.

Broad data collection is a real tradeoff

Verification supports age, location, fraud and prize controls, but it also creates a large sensitive-data footprint. The privacy policy should be read before registration, especially by players who are uncomfortable with selfie or biometric processing.

Current sources do not support the old guide’s assumptions about PCI certification, two-factor authentication or security architecture. Those features should not be inferred from the existence of KYC.

This is an age affirmation, not identity verification.
